Class Information
Instructor: Lloyd Walker, Travis Steelman
Class Location: North Wilkes High School (Gym Basement classroom beside weight
room)
Pickup: Student pickup will be outside of the Gym basement
Class dates:
Class dates: June 15, 16, 17 18, 22, 23, 24, 25
o Class times Monday through Wednesday 8am – 12pm, Thursday from
8am -11am
o There will be no make days or times.
o Students must attend all classes in order to receive credit.
o The State of North Carolina requires 30 hours of classroom
instruction.
★ Disclaimers:
Dates are always subject to change due to unforeseen events.
If school is closed or dismissed early due to weather, driver education is
also canceled.
Class size will be limited and priority will be given to the older students.
An additional class may be created if needed
2 nd class dates if needed July 27, 28, 29, 30, August 3, 4, 5, 6
Class times Monday through Wednesday 8am – 12pm, Thursday from
8am -11am
State Law requires students to be 14½ by the first day of driver’s education
classes.
Registration:
Forms can be picked up in the front office or downloaded from the district
website.
Registration along with payment of $65 should be returned to the main office by
Friday May 29. Payment must be made before the beginning of class. No
exceptions.
o Please make checks payable to North Wilkes High School or bring exact
cash.
Students need to plan to attend the 1 st day, there will not be any other invite. Any
student who registered for a previous class and did not attend, must register again if
they wish to enroll in this class.
